... Greek wine and their local Ouzo. I ate Pastitsia, a pie with layers of pasta and meat but I kept eating Stee's dinner of this fish cooked in peppers and onions. Vance doesn't do fish so he had a harder time with the menu options. Everyone was in a great mood so we ended up just sitting and talking and laughing and drinking and eating for quite awhile.
Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece mylifesjourney... tastic. Truly, it's been great.

When I arrived in my room I had a momentary hiccup where I just was so sad. I hadn't really missed Larry or felt home sick too much during the trip, but for some reason, on the cruise, in the room by myself, I just broke down. BUT. I told myself, "Josie, you are here and you're alone. But you're here." From that point on it was, pardon -- or don't, the pun, smoooooth sailing.

I had a FABULOUS welcome treat in my room in the form ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece josiezim... photos taken, glad it wasn’t that hot on Peter and Vicki’s day.

Athens was a most interesting city. We bargained our way into a taxi to take us to all the sights around the city for four hours (having already walked for 30 minutes with no success looking for a self service laundry, because we baulked at paying the ship laundry prices). We got a great driver. Told him we wanted him to take us to a laundry first and then spend the time ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece sewtersojourns... on a chair no sleep with so many weird looking passengers seriously it was like the waiting room for hell.

So we tried and tried to get sleep but the crossing was terrible the boat was up and down and up and down. Just as I thought I was going to sleep this man came stumbling into the room with a cigarette and a cheap bottle of cider looking for his wife shouting her name when he found her he hit her over the head with the bottle and said some random things to ...

Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece traceybelle... fishes in it amazing. Ian rang me to tell me that he was in a little cafe up on the village and that the village was brilliant really Greek so I think he is happy that we are getting out of here so that we can see a bit more of the island tomorrow. He came to the beach and ended up having a swim and we had a lovely lunch in the taverna and had a really nice day. The guys from the hostel where on the beach and we had a little chat with them. <br ...

Sarande, Albania richardcowley... we set out to carefully explore the town. Also of note: this is the first time Easy Cruise has ever stopped in this port, so it was a bit of an experiment for everyone (and they didn't have any info on the town...or Albania for that matter) Off we go up the road, which reminds me a bit of that time I went to Ensenada Mexico - dusty, run down, empty shells of concrete buildings, locals wondering why the hell you're there. So we decide to just ...
Butrint, Butrint, Albania mightbekatrina... finished but there was no sign of anyone working on it. When inside it we were asked to light a candle and donate money to help finish off the building work.

A young Orthodox monk with black robes, a black beard and long black hair done up in a ponytail caught our eye in the chapel. Although somewhat diffident, he spoke some english and explained that the chapel was built nine hundred years ago. Inside it was a riot of silverware and iconic paintings. We ...
