Biking is especially popular, with many choosing to spend their entire holiday biking around the island. Finally, Elba is also a foodie paradise with many local and Tuscan specialties on offer. ... have gone up in price! Vino and pizza for lunch, che sorpresa! I find I'm annoyed now when people speak English to me, I'm speaking Italian (or maybe not......) Mainland - Tuscany is only 30 mins or so away, €10 people, €50 car. I wonder if people commute? One ferry company have 100 trips to and fro per week starting at 515 am so I'm guessing so. Lots of bikes and apparently both biking and hiking are popular. Definitely a place for a holiday, ...
