The whole point of us having a stopover for a few days was to see if we could beat the jet lag by breaking the trip into two stages. Having arrived in Singapore we both feel exactly the same as if we had gone the whole way. Roger says probably not quite as bad. Have learned something anyway, it is that first 12-14 hour flight from Europe that does it. Had a great flight, we had a spare seat - ...

After finishing our food we entered the waterpark and got started on the lazy river. Although it rained at ...

First up, Eliza was dragged out of the door at 7:30 am (!!!) to be a fill-in for Alex's netball team, who were playing a team from Perth. Hilary and I followed a bit later, and managed to catch the last quarter ...

Day 50 - Singapore

A travel blog entry by anthonydowell on Jun 03, 2015

A record for me I think. I didn't wake until 9.00am! A quickish shower, breakfast and we were ready to go. Bec picked us up about 12.30 and we headed to Holland Village for a "Hawker" lunch. Basically it is a food hall where you order what you want and sit in the middle of the market and eat it. We had Bee Hoon noodles, chicken gyosa, and fried carrot cake (savoury). Most interesting and nice to ...
