... on to Slovenia pretty quickly. And it was a great decision as we snaked our way through the mountains, the van coping admirably, with a new stunning vista around each corner. We headed to Bled and a campsite on the lake, but an avalanche of tourists for the Bled festival meant that it was completely full. Ah, what a time it was - we were all set with a lovely apartment overlooking a beautiful valley, surrounded by snow mountains and a view of Lake Millstatt. Life was great - the air is simply pure and clean, the food amazing, the people are friendly and we booked 6 months. Ha, Bad Gastein! A little city, all up and down following the U-formed mountain, in the U one has a little waterfall. Lovely! This "bad" name says what it is: a city about water. Empress Sisi came here to follow water cures, and lots of hotels here offer thermal arrangements!

So after all this we were all mega happy to be going up this tower - which was indeed amazing, and such a beautiful structure. it was like twisted spirals of wood and glass.
