... view over the city.,
The lake and a river flowing through the city all make for an interesting place.
We ate at our hotel, expensive and turned out to be a bit of a "faulty towers" experience of us.... , wrong food wrong bill...wrong dish...described as fillet steak,turned out to be a burger..I was not impressed.

Our second day out in Luzern was up into the mountains,and what a trip it was.
Using our pass we headed to Chur, thinking we were going to do ...

... and then it was time to come home. This morning we have awoken to softly falling snow which is a lovely sight from our hotel room window. It is difficult to know what to wear today, as we leave for the airport at 10.45am and it is 0oC here, however when we step off the plane in Dubai the temperature will be in the high 20s. Still I'm enjoying watching the fluttering snow at present, so won't worry about Dubai just ...

Another great day being a couple of observers in the European world. We left Lucerne on the 0812 steam paddle wheeler for a short ride to the village of Weggis. A fairly steep 15 minute walk which had us sweating, landed us at the base of the Rigi Bahn Cable car. Our first cable car which is like a oversized gondola and stands around 40-50 people. It is also a much steeper ride up then a ski lift would be and sways eerily when you pass one of the massive poles ...

So picturesque!

... and grass. It is definitely a beautiful country! We got back to Lucerne and it was raining so we quickly ran to see the famous lion carved into the rock and then headed back for a cozy night at the hostel. The next day we took the scenic train from Lucerne to Lausanne. It was drop dead gorgeous along the lake. We went along the lake and it was lined with snow capped mountains.
