Another great day being a couple of observers in the European world. We left Lucerne on the 0812 steam paddle wheeler for a short ride to the village of Weggis. A fairly steep 15 minute walk which had us sweating, landed us at the base of the Rigi Bahn Cable car. Our first cable car which is like a oversized gondola and stands around 40-50 people. It is also a much steeper ride up then a ski lift would be and sways eerily when you pass one of the massive poles ...
... but the Bear is Bern`s mascot and they have a few and we just put 2 and 2 together, lol). We started by seeing the bears because every time Louise was here she got lost and could never find where they were (it was pretty easy to find them, haha).

... next flight, and didn't get into Zurich until 6:30 PM (Zurich time). By the time we found Angelika (our Relocation Coordinator and a God send) and got our car, and got to our apartment, it was after 8 PM and we were exhausted.

... locals were escaping the heat in the lake or sitting in the parks either in the shade or sunbaking. It looked like good fun. If I had more time here I might do the same because it looked really relaxing. There was a nice view of the mountains over the lake. Within the old town there are some interesting buildings, but it doesn't really compare to some of the other places I've been I think. What is really nice are the two covered bridges ...
Day 56 – Sunday 20th June
Today we didn't absolutely nothing – a rest day. Although I still feel really tired. It poured and poured and poured so we spent most of the day inside on the internet. Ashley spoke to Gareth, Grandma Cleland and we organised to go and see Thomas, who is living in Basel, probably at the end of the week, depending on how we get on.
