... coagulated blood and a dragon stone, the healing powers of which were officially confirmed in 1509. The chronicle of Petermann Etterlin tells how Regional Governor Winkelried killed one of the Mount Pilatus dragons: he wrapped a spear with thorn twigs and thrust it into the open mouth of the dragon, finishing the beast off with a sword. In the process, drops of poisonous dragon's blood spurted on to his hand. These drops - and the poisonous breath of the ...

A fairly steep 15 minute walk which had us sweating, landed us at the base of the Rigi Bahn Cable car. Our first cable car which is like a oversized gondola and stands around 40-50 people. It is also a much steeper ride up then a ski lift would be and sways eerily when you pass one of the massive poles ...

... s across the street. I know, you're thinking, "Eww, why go there?" But hey, the McDonald's in Europe is actually really nice! It was really huge, and they had an actual McCafe in there. And I don't mean just some stuff on the menu. I mean they had a glass counter with all sorts of baked goodies in there. Susannah and I got some tasty macaroons, and Dad got some Fanta Zero. That's when we realized, the European Fanta actually tastes way better than the American Fanta! ...
