... wait 2 hours for our turn to board the train. Quite a ride!

Then we took an aerial tram from the peak down to Frakmuntegg where we stopped for a while so I could take my toboggan run. It's Switzerland's longest and pretty fast too. Over a mile! Mom took movies. Then we got on some aerial gondolas. Mom had to get on these things that only hold 4 people and don't fully stop. She did good and we rode these down to the bottom. A ...

... half the size of Nice. We took the train back as it was much faster and more comfortable and called it an evening. The next day, I went on a guided bike tour through Nice, which was definitely the way to go as far as seeing the city is concerned. ... Death artwork. The New City isn't very exciting, it looks quite similar to the modern streets of other European cities. If you have more time in the day, perhaps it's better to walk a little farther from the lake in the Old Town, and walk along the city wall that still exists - hopefully I'll have a chance to do this after a day in Zurich tomorrow.

As the hostel is far away, tonight's meal is being cooked by yours ...

Switzerland Adventure 2011 Second Leg

... and in agreement with the locals. The service picked up after the slow start, and it will now be a place I return to. I then headed to the one true "sports bar" in town, the Husi, and sat at the bar and had a beer and watched the replay of the downhill race up the mountain today. Soon I was ready to head back to the room and ready for a day in the mountains!!
