... there was one interesting part when they brought out a comedian dressed in red, white, and blue. Mmmm….I wondered. He spoke in english some of the time then converted back to German--it was at those moments that the crowd roared into laughter. Steve and I just looked at each other and couldn't help but wonder if they were making fun of Americans! Oh well--we just continued to say "guten tag" to everyone in order to blend in as much as possible!
Went to Ballenberg today. It showcases about 100 rural houses & utility buildings from practically all regions of Switzerland. Buildings that would have been pulled down and destroyed. Each structure was carefully dismantled at its original location and then moved here at the open air museum. We didn't see every one but took lots of photos.
