... an awesome combination, but if you have it in the US then people call you a fatty.

Tried to find a sports store to get a new rain jacket but all stores in tourist heavy bruges were extremely expensive (saw one goretex rain jacket for about $750) and all closed by 6:00 pm.

Went back to hostel, did laundry, ended up talking to a group of latin americans while drinking more belgian beers (duvel is probably my favorite alcoholic beverage I've ...

I walked up the steep and creaky staircase three floors to the top and opened the door to my room. I was pleasantly surprised - it was nice, clean, and looked new. There was a small twin bed and lots of shelving. The sink wasn't working yet, but the room had a good view over Brugge. The shared bathrooms were new as well, but in a strange configuration. Nevertheless, ...

... over the city centre and had a tour of the house where Anne Frank and her family hid during the second world war. It was hard to believe that 8 people in total hid in the attic of the building, and had to be extra quiet in the day time when the warehouse workers below were working. I'd like to re-read her diaries when we get home. We tried to go the Van Gough museum but it was almost closing time so that has to go on our "next time" list. As ...
