After dropping the bikes off and having a quick feed, we went and saw Luc Vanlaere . He is a famous musician who plays all of his own compositions on a variety of harps (orchestral, classical, meditation one, one with 240 strings he had crafted… and some others!). All hand made, no electronics or synthetic sounds. What a character! It was free entry, with donations welcomed. ...

... are talking about a country that is famous for its beer, chocolate and waffles. I must be partially dutch because this ticks all of my boxes! I'll have to buy a new shirt after the steady drool from my mouth today dribbled onto my chest. So much wonderful food and smells! Oh the scents of fresh waffles and delicious sweets...

... br> We then went search of the church that houses the via of the blood of Jesus, but when we found it we decided that it couldn't possibly be the real blood of Jesus and that we didn't want to pay 4€ to see it. A missed opportunity. We did however watch a band playing outside a nearby museum.
When we had had enough of watching bands, ogling chocolate shops, visiting lace shops and playing dodge-the-cycle we headed back for Jo to do her tower climb. Thwarted again! ...

... through the wind and rain, huddled under our tiny umbrella, to the frites ("fries") stand we visited yesterday. We quickly placed two orders to go, hustled back to our B&B and smuggled in our goods, to be consumed while sitting on the bed.
