... Alan and I tried not to look at each other or laugh because we really wanted to. Sonu was just fab! I loved him. He made me smile with all his hand gestures, observations and particularly his ultra feminine poses. Sonu proudly announced to us that he often drapes brides. I guess he would be a safe choice. I ended up buying three saris. Only.

... in Goa around 5:00 AM next day morning. It is also an economical option compared to flight and comes to approximately Rs 1500/- for all three of us in 3 Tier AC (Anyway we do not have to pay for kids below 5 years in Indian Railways !!) And you also have the convinience of booking over the net - http://www.irctc.co.in/
Finally after all these preperations , the day arrived for us to embark on the trip to ...
... and I definitely didn't see the need for the HELICOPTER lifeguard that fly up and down the cost. After a nice swim we had a great dinner on the beach and just chilled out. While I probably won't go to Benaulim again, it was a great stop over. Goa, Goa, India carrienica05... but they keep saying - "you are like a white chicken!" which off course makes us want to buy from them! We buy a anklet (big mistake now they are all worse) and a pair of earrings before extracting ourselves and finding the right path to the beach. There are more stalls on the way to the beach, but these are bigger with clothes and hats and they don't pester you as much. We wonder down the beach and ...
Goa, India pashbee... huge lobster-pink bodybuilder from Brummyland who after being persuaded to vodka smash his way through a line of shots gets up to dance his moves on the bar-top complete with hip thrusts and a vague idea of pole-dancing...thus the evening passes and hmmm, feels just like home.. :) I've stayed over a week in Colva because Ive been reluctant to leave it, the fresh fish brought in every single day and awesome food is one of many reasons so Ive been sort of skirting around ...
South Goa, India ban-anna... beaches that we visited in Australia in 2000 were pretty long, although we didn't do much lounging around on those.) The fact that it faces west means that I've got my sunsets-into-the Arabian-Sea back, which is nice - I didn't have them in Palolem - and the sand is clean and uncrowded. I'm staying at the only 'resort'-style hotel to remain open all year, just off the beach, and with a decent restaurant. (I'm pleased to announce that the Pizza Hut pizza has ...
Benaulim, India ianrwell. a lot to say. so here goes. after my entry at the cybercafe in mumbai I went back to my room and tried to put myself on India time. I stayed up as late as I could which was about 9 p.m. watching tv and reading Alan Alda's book "never stuff your dog" which is quite funny actually. so, of course I woke up around 11:30. for the next little while I felt really bad. a fear came over me and it was kept company with a little upset ...
Anjuna, India sneakytrees... chuff-chuffing with clouds of black smoke and white steam billowing out of the funnels. All the time with great views onto moutain vistas and towards the end, tea plantations. Ooty itself turned out to be a dump and we moved straight on to Mysore. Mysore We only had a day and a half here so, despite the ferocious heat, set out to do the sights first thing. We caught a pony and trap to the Maharaja's palace - a hotch potch of a place topped by a plethora of red minarets. We also ...
Goa, India willandsiobhan... treat we got a lobster thermidor. It was delicious, even though we were far from cold water.. Actually, thinking about the hotel staff, I reckon that they were about the nicest I have ever come across. Nothing was too much trouble, and the snack chef was always wandering round offering his wares. It was an AI hotel as well, so it's not like they were drumming up business. So one aggressive women doesn't change my view of Goans as warm, welcoming and friendly people.
