Day 23 Munich to Austria Tyrol

A travel blog entry by victoriatravels on Jul 25, 2015

Another early start to get back to Austria today so we could fit in White water rafting and paragliding. I was a bit nervous of the rafting with the tattoo. But in the end it was ok.

This optional was loads of fun, we were given wetsuits, helmets etc and were divided up into our groups of 9 to a raft. Our leader was Scottish and was alot of fun. After hearing the safety speech and an explanation of the different commands we all had to go into the water ...

... at the hostel and then bought drinks to take back to the room. Only one drink for me as they just seemed very expensive. This is when we decided we were going to have to do some pre drinking before going out. Its a good plan if you are on a budget. Buy a bottle of your poison at a nearby bottle store, drink it in your room and then you dont have to buy much when you are out. This was the plan for tomorrow night when we were going to experience Pragues night ...

Then it was onto another optional the Schnitzel and Screams one. This was held in a theme park called Prater park . It was ...

... vouch for that! 36 degrees again today).
It was good to get home to bed.

TUESDAY: Another fairly quiet 37 degree day (I'm starting to sound like a broken record), as we decided to continue the theme of not doing too much. What is that the Italians say...."Dolce far Niente" - 'The Sweetness of doing nothing'. Certainly learning to do that...maybe too well!!

Although we did do a few things...washed ...

Day 18 Venice to Vienna

... the colour of the grass was a totally different green. Austria is spotless, there was not a speck of rubbish anywhere, it is also considered one of the 'greenest' countries in terms of eco-friendly. And I am sure you could feel it, even the air felt cleaner I am sure of it.

We got to a really nice hostel, they at least had fans and were more spacious and had fantastic wifi in the rooms.
