Today we went to the world heritage site Dachstein Salzkammergut. It was really interesting but also disappointing. The day started again gloomy and very wet, we did not start on our adventure until eleven. But we did see the runners involved in the half day Martin run pass our hotel. ... Geoff now did not have to walk the 30 mins ) The sun started to come out and we could see blue sky, by the time we got off the mountains were revealed. Hotel Haus Am See: A cloudy day but no rain as yet. We walked to Stubentor U 3, to catch the train at westbanhof.It was so quiet only a few got on the metro but the train was full but not crowed. Six stops later we arrived at the very new station. Lots of shops, easy directions to follow. We went to the OBB first class lounge to wait for the IC 548 to Salzburg, the lounge was new, a pleasant helpful front desk person, a wide variety of refreshments and nibbles, plenty ...

... riding tour involved driving down the ringstrasse which is an avenue which encircles the old city of Vienna. I also walked this entire avenue to get better pictures of the sites. There is a tram that goes along the avenue. I walked. We saw the upper Belvedere. We did not go inside but walked around the gardens where there is a beautiful view of the city.
