    We went to Goelitz and Bautzen this day. We didn't depart from our hotel until after 1pm. Goerlitz was about 1.5 hours from Dresden. We had only about an hour to walk in Gorlitz because mom wanted to visit Bautzen. What a rush!!!! We took the tram in Gorlitz... walked through a nice park... saw the river where Poland was on the opposite side... asked for directions from an old man across the street and he kindly stopped and crossed the road to help ...

    ... similar to the allotments they have in England. The next day, Saturday, was going to be busy because this was a long weekend, so we set off early to see one of the most popular tourist sites here, Bastei Bridge, built in 1851. We caught an old bus which wound its way inland, then we walked down the track for a huge WOW moment which continued for hours. The rock formations in this area were truly amazing.     Only update were I'm now.
    Cut my day a bit short yesterday, because of bad weather. Stopped just short of Goerliz.
    120 km, through wet and slippery bikeways, crossing the "Saxon Schweiz", very challenging!
