... to find souvenirs but everything here is incredibly touristy and overpriced. Most importantly, I watched the USA soccer team advance to the round of 16 despite losing to Germany. Finally, I relaxed in my room by myself, in silence, with no Asians, and slept. And slept. Memorable quote: Andrew, you're the only American who I want to be here with, unless there is an American girl somewhere in Hallstatt- Matt Tomorrow: Back to Salzburg! Sound of Music ...

... we did, and within 4 minutes we were on our way! We checked in the most beautiful hotel of the trip yet, to the most charming hotel personnel. We found our room, which was just as perfect and comfortable-looking and toured the room. We had a nice large wooden balcony overlooking the little town and a very modern bathroom. Modern enough that it had no doors... No curtains... Nothing! But the bed was very high and comfortable, with HUGE pillows (bigger than me almost!). ...

We started off the day with breakfast at our B&B. Not exactly a gourmet meal, but satisfactory, and the view from the breakfast room was really quite gorgeous. After breakfast, we headed off on a walk to the Waldbachstrub waterfalls, a two hour return trip.
