Today we left the buzz of the city and throngs of tourists behind and headed for the hills. Five hours later we settled in a lovely little town high in the alpine with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains and valley below. And yes, the water was ...

It was suffering from poverty so they decided to compensate for its isolation in a little pocket of Italy near Switzerland by making it a tax free zone. forest and ...

decided that a somewhat more challenging walk would be in order. So we jumped
onto a bus and headed out to a spot on the Julier Pass. From here we headed
straight uphill for 4 and a half hours to the top of the Fuorcla D’ Agnel Pass
which lies at an altitude of 2984 meters. The wind was screaming and it was
trying to rain. However the rain was turning to ice and we nearly ...

... be 120 Franks. My standard answer in these situations is always the same. I pause a moment, look the man in the eyes and say: “I think you misunderstood me, I don't want to buy the room I just want to sleep there. “ Then he says: “if more people turn up I will give you a credit.”

I think his approach should have been to give me a bed for the night and then tell me that I may have to share the room with ...
