... the top, the views opened up and mountains and valleys stretched as far as we could see. Apparently the building here now is a recreation of the original. Outer buildings and parade grounds no longer exist. This is all due to the might of the RAF who bombed the mountain to oblivion! Not much is mentioned about this aspect of the site. The train ride from Vienna was breathtaking as we traveled through a gorgeous valley surrounded by striking mountains. Zell Am See is a beautiful town on a lake in the valley. We were so happy to see such gorgeous mountains and get out of the city even for just a day. We spent our entire time in awe of Mother ...
