... vowed to never do exercise of the sort again? Remember when I said that?

Today I climbed the Dom. 530 steps. It's easy, they said. You won't even feel the last 150 steps, they said.

Well I can tell you I didn't feel the last 150 steps, purely because my legs were essentially NUMB at that point. Christ, it is a tall building. 149 metres if I remember correctly. Bloody hell it hurt. But, again, the view at the top was incredible and so worth it. ...

Moms birthday was yesterday! It was also Halloween, but I'm not sure the people of Düsseldorf were aware. Yesterday we arrived early in the morning after an overnight bus ride on a two deck bus. We searched for breakfast without any luck but we passed a small park and found our hostel easily. The guy at reception was super nice and let us store our bags and told us he could let us check in about an hour early, which meant we only had about 4.5 hours to ...

For anyone that doesn't know what a Kinder egg is (they're illegal in the US, so it's okay), they're chocolate eggs with ...

Made new friends and had lots of laughs, all in all a great holiday. Saturday Sailed the Dutch waterways and arrived in Amsterdam. Had a private canal boat ride through the city and visited ...

... out cycling. We have a head wind heading upstream to Dusseldorf but don't worry as it will be behind us on the way home. By the time we stop for a few photo stops it has taken about an hour to get into the middle of the city. We lock the bikes to a tree and go looking for a Jack Woulfskin shop for a camp stove. After two lots of instructions from different people we find the shop has moved to a new building, but alas they don't carry any camp stoves so all is in vein. We head back ...
