Last night in the "Homeland"!
Again we decided to avoid the big cities and stay in a regional town. Pulling in we had no idea where we would be sleeping, but the centre is small and always has a hotel sign.
We have a restful afternoon wandering the streets, seeing the odd sight and of course "window shopping".
Dinner being our final German meal constisted of schnitzel and cheap drinks!!!!

A sunny day
Well here we are in Holland. The flight over was great , smooth ,great food.they could not do enough to make it comfortable. Stopover in Dubai was relaxing and the second leg to Amterdam seemed to just fly by.We were met at the airport by Mein Johan Marion and Paul, it's nice to see friends again.Had coffee and a chat and away we went to Stadskanaal Yesterday we needed together a few things done. Party- Dutch style
... I've been to Germany but would love to one day explore the rest of the country. We then toured the countryside where I saw lots of thatched cottages. They are so cool! Later we went to dinner and I had beef stroganoff - very good but different than what I'm used to. Wim toured me around the town and saw where he grew up, nice area. They do not get many tourists there.

Back in Germany with our friends
... All too difficult. So here we are , all good and back on line. I have posted our trip in Holland on previous entries so you will know what we have been up to. We left my cousin's place on Sat 28th , very sad as we had such a good time there but we will see them again in the not to distant future.
Yesterday we drove from Lathen , Germany to our friends home in Pinneberg. Good trip, Basil Garmin took us on some lovely country roads as well. Yes it is still very cold and wet ...
