... We saw the bridge over the Rhine and were they used to throw "witches" off the bridge during the European witch hunts a few hundred years ago. She showed us the monastary and said we were lucky that we got to see it without scaffolding because they're usually doint some type of refrubishment. We went into a shop to get postcards and found the greatest candy ever in Europe, Malteasers! Think whopper, but gourmet and delicious! I can't eat whoppers because of these little gems ...

... but the surface of the cycling path was lumpy, bumpy exposed rock, very different from the paved routes we have mostly been on.
