This was obviously well planned operation as all the main shops here do not open until 9.30am and with it raining i found it ...

Aarau, Aargau, Switzerland beaandroger... on some prior ski trips to similar altitutdes. Perhaps it's due to the gradual acclimation via the trains, etc. However, back to the view... it was spectacular. If you enjoy mountains, it doesn't likely get much better than this. Our day was a fairly clear one as well.

When we arrived at Interlaken we then had to take an extended series of trains, lifts, buses, etc. to get to our eventual destination which was Schilthorn ...
Interlaken, Swiss Alps, Switzerland trockie... supermarket and…….baked beans!! Yay! There were Heinz and a cheaper 'gourmet’ brand which we thought we would try seeing as at home we prefer the Coles organic baked beans to the name brands. For dinner we bought some chicken cordon bleu and a HEAP of veggies to steam up. Awesome.

After dropping our shopping at the hostel we went over to the lake opposite to watch the sunset and feed the ducks some of the bread we had bought to go with our baked beans. They loved ...

Lucerne, Lucerne, Switzerland neverold... look too high class to call them sales people) gave me a card and told me that I could get a Bucherer souvenir as I bought something. He sent me to the other side of the store where there was another sales associate standing there taking in the cards and handing out the souvenirs. It's a silver spoon with Luzern on it and the name of the store. Wow... my very own silver spoon....!! I came back in time to see my watch come down the chute. He put it on my wrist and I left the ...
Luzern, Luzern, Switzerland vivianlamSo After a few exciting days I'm finally getting a chance to update you all. I just want to start by summing up the past few days.

As I mentioned in Lauterbrunnen, I was planning on going for a huge hike. This I did do, and it was absolutely amazing. It was definately the most challenging hike I have ever completed (Richard and Adam, it was like five times harder that Sulpher Skyline). It was interesting though because I had to tread up these super steep hills in the ...
Mein ...
Interlaken, Switzerland ecki... through the old part of Lucerne, with its narrow, winding streets was such a treat. Turn each corner and surprise! There are two more streets…which way to go? We had lunch at a small outdoor cafe. I had goulachsuppe mit brot. (goulash soup with bread). It was delicious!

I was able to get off by myself and take more pictures while she strolled around and gawked (her word) at the beautifully decorated building ...
