Up to Tre Rose for breakfast then Roger met Luca, his riding companion for the morning. They are riding up the mountain out of Nesso and back around. He has been looking forward to this ride. Exploring Nesso is on our list today. Nesso is a reasonable size village, we guess around 1000 maybe 1500 residents. It is perched on then side of the mountain with the houses clinging precariously to the hillside. The main road from Como to Bellagio runs ...

We decided that maybe the sign had said it was a pedestrian road only. So Wendy now had to ...

... later! Love those direct trains! A short taxi ride and we were at our B & B Resiidence Cavour, about a block from lake front. We were met by our host Moione who checked us in, showed us our room, the residence amenities, explained a few sights to see around Lake Como and places to eat. The rest of the afternoon was spent exploring this beautiful area which we've heard so much about through the media. Now that we're here, it's as beautiful and inspiring as we envisioned it! ...

... is approaching so off we go, the girls will wait at the car and the boys head to the cable car station again. A small queue waiting and then the operator arrives in his BMW and parks across two cars and lets us in. He sells us our tickets and than jams everyone into the cars - definitely sardine class on this trip. Just enough room to stand and no more. We were lucky enough to have a delightful English lady in our car who, before we ever moved, announced she felt sick. When we ...
