... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.
Only downside is having to wait until 7 till the restaurants open. Not easy for two gluttons like us. Had a rubbish meal first night too which is enough to put us in a bad mood for about a week. Italy almost done. ...

... drum, an empty can with rocks in it for a shaker, two sticks to hit together and our voices. It was a lot of fun, but I'm not so sure we sounded so great. Oh wait a minute... Did I just admit that?? We sounded phenomenal!! We spent some time climbing a fantastic mountain with a breathtaking view and exotic climbs. We could see the snow topped mountains of Switzerland, along with the valleys of fall coloured trees, with a smattering of houses. Quite the contrast. ...

Once again we are trudging up 3 flights of stairs but that is also pretty standard in Europe.

The road to get up here is terrifying. There are 10 hairpin bends, 6 of them blind, and yet it is only 600 metres to town. I don't think I would like to live here, even though the scenery is ...

... non grazie to the complimentary offer of limoncello. Not a good idea to get too tipsy when I have to walk home through the cobblestone streets in the wet and the dark by myself. Nearly got blown away on the walk home but made it in one piece and had a nice hot bath in my tub. So tired. Goodnight Captain Varenna. PS. found another boat tour offering site seeing past "George's" house. It's not actually in Bellagio at all, but in another village called ...

On the bus to Lagura Switzerland, free time for coffee and shopping in the markets. Weather is very cold here. We took the bus to the cable car up the mountain called Monte Tamaro. Beautiful views on the way up of the valley below, snow on the alps here. We had a set lunch menu and a walk around at the top, threw ...
