    Another hot stinker and this time I don't get to retreat to a cool mountaintop.

    I packed all my gear ready for departure then left it in the luggage room while I took a quick trip up to Grindelwald in the next valley. It's not much of a ride but it has an excellent view of the Eiger.

    I then had lunch back at the hostel before setting off to Bern. I missed the turn for the lovely lakeside ride and ended up on the Autobarn. ...

    ... are about 3 tall runners to support the cable on the way up this cableway and when the car goes over them it sure makes it swing and everybody screams. Its a grand feeling.
