Beautiful sunny HOT day. Walked along the village street after a huge brekkie, and then took small motor boat out on the lake, looking at the campers from the outside today! Looked inside the beautifully decorated village church. My good friend Anni and her husband Michael arrived from Munich. Anni and I had been pen-friends since we were about 12, and Anni and I had visited many times in Germany and UK, although Anni has never made ...

Drove the few kilometres to Oberammergau. I had been there in 2010 with my sister and brother in law to see the Passion Play, performed all summer of each decade since 17th century in thanks for being spared the plague. The Playhouse seats over 4000, and there are at least 100 performances each season. The village is still busy, even in non-play years. Looked at ...

Looking for a lunch stop - where's those Golden Arches? .......we've arrive now and I've paid my €5 for internet access - seems ok. You may wonder why the big M is ...

Today was another day of not much as Ruby's toe had not recovered from the cut yesterday. To start the day Jess decided that she needed to have a look at the cut and clean it up a bit so the bandage came off to sort it out. As soon as Jess tried to do anything Ruby started screaming and carrying on like Jess was going to rip what remained of her toe right off. After a bit of this our German friend popped her head in to say goodbye holding a piece of ...

Time to say goodbye to Austria today and also to what was one of our favourite campsites of the trip so far. We were off to Germany but before we went there we had one last stop in Salzburg, at the Designer Retail Outlet. Lily needed some new sandals as she has outgrown the ones she has and as it was on the way we thought we would stop there. We parked the van and then enjoyed the great adventure of trying to find out where the ...
