We visited a liquor distillery here that produces Appenzeller, Alpenbitter - one of the most popular shots in Switzerland, but also recommended by doctors to be good for your stomach - it tastes like a mix between herbs, jager, and cough syrup mmm. We then visited a cheese factory and saw ...

Day 282 2 hrs, 5 kms Dalais is another peaceful little village, built partly in the valley floor, and partly up the grassy slopes. I get off the trail for a bit to make it easier to walk from town to town. I find, a bit to my amusement, that drivers seem utterly baffled when seeing a pedestrian by the road. Even when there's a very wide shoulder and plenty of room for them to drive ...

... on up the trail, zigzagging back and forth, back and forth, until I finally reach a rocky area of semi-waterfalls, with the beautiful waterfall not too far above.

Close enough. Time for a videoclip. I pause to soak in the view, then head on back down the moutain. By the time I reach the town of Auberbraz again, I've lost several hours and climbed nearly a thousand meters just to see a waterfall close up.

Worth it, I'd say... but I won't be doing this too often, I don't ...
