    ... of the Bulge. We saw several of the towns that Uncle Dave was in. On our way back to Bastogne to drop off our guide, we made a small detour. We drove through Grand-Halleux to see a small memorial dedicated to his regiment, the 291st Infantry Regiment of the 75th Division of the United States Army. What a fitting way to end this day of the tour!

    ... Cemetery there. In a touching ceremony, our two veterans were awarded silver stars by the Luxembourg Cemetery committee. Scott, our cemetery guide, told us all about the Battle of the Bulge, where most of the soldiers in this cemetery died. He then showed us the grave of George Patton and gave us free time to look around.
    Then we were back on the bus to go to our hotel for the night. Tomorrow we will have an all day tour of the Bulge area. ...

    Europe and its distances are truly amazing. We woke up in Liechtenstein, drove through Switzerland, France and Germany and ended up in Luxembourg. We only had to show our passport once, at the campsite in Leichenstein when we paid for our accommodation in the morning.
