Hotel Sayang Maha Mertha Legian

Once we finally got off the bus for good, we were joined by a Korean man that was looking to share a taxi to Kuta. The taxis around the bus terminal were all asking for 150,000 Rp, which we knew was way too much (thanks to the Indonesian woman on the bus.) They would not agree to use meters, so the three of us started walking out down the street in front of the terminal. Indonesia!! We arrive at the Denpasar airport to Balinese music (chimes, bells and twangs), the thickest humidity we have ever experienced and many many smiles. We are greeted as if our arrival was expected, long over due, and we are all long lost friends. We are staying at the Sayang Hotel, which is in Legian, Bali (very nice part of Bali away from the busy Kuta region - if you look at the Bali Map, its the little narrow piece of land on the south of the island. Ah Jesus! This is wrecking me buzz! I have been to a couple of places in between here and the last entry, but it takes too long to update this yoke. I will do it up properly at some stage. When I'm in the same place for at least a week (cos it'll take that long), and I have absolutely nothing else to do. At all.

There really isn't a lot to do around the Kuta/Legian, and there wasn’t much point in venturing further when I know that Alan will want to have a look around Bali. So this is the time to recharge, relax (yeah, I know – that’s ALL I’ve been doing!) and enjoy swimming in a freshwater pool! Oh yeah – and to get my laundry done.
