The camp provided many opportunities for personal growth: Learning to speak Chinese, learning to use chopsticks, learning to budget money, learning to bargain, learning to wash clothes, making friends, trying new foods, learning patience, learning to work with others, and learning to adapt.
Ok....I'm starting my notes while sitting on our plane in Amsterdam, waiting to take off for Berlin. The sun is rising...it was not up when we landed at 5:21 a.m. Amsterdam time. It is midnight in Tulsa...7:00 a.m. here. I'd say we both slept in fits for a total of maybe an hour.....probably less. The overseas flight was really nice. We were on an Airbus. We also make time for a day trip to our old stomping ground; The Northeastern State University campus in Tahlequah. We all arrived at the airport between 4:30 and 5 am to check-in. Traveling internationally our bags have to be under 50 pounds. Most of us were at about 49.5 lbs.
We are excited to go to China and start our adventure in Beijing. We have a long flight a head of us. We fly less than two hours to Chicago, 4 hour layover (didn't happen), and a 13 + hour flight to Beijing.
