Alpenstrasse 2 Interlaken, Bernese Oberland, Swiss Alps, Switzerland, 3800, 33-828-1670
After getting up early this morning, due in part to the neighbors making noise (see what good carpeting can do), I headed out to the Zurich University's Botanical Garden. Most people don't know this, but giving me a camera in a garden can be a bad thing....I tend to take way too many pictures of, well, botanical stuff. When I was in Fort Worth last year, I probably took 300 pictures. Today I limited myself to only 125, but given the time of year, its the best that can be expected. According t...

... We caught the train back to Interlaken, to catch the Golden Pass Panoramic train to Luzern- as it went along the lakes and over the mountains, it was truly very scenic. Arriving in Lucerne and after getting our bearings, we walked past the famous covered bridge to our hotel which was in the old part of town. It was cold but clear when we went to have dinner but we soon realised that all of the restaurants in our area ...
Lucerne, Lucerne, Switzerland kiama_on_tour... seemed to disappear at times without warning. So I made it to my third town in about an hour and I was feeling good. When in this town, I was supposed to hit a cable car and go up about 1,000 meters and then ride the bike down the other side. Being my luck that I usually have, I went a different way and thought it was the correct direction. Do you know what´s worse than walking up an extremely steep hill?......How about pushing a ...

Mom wanted to buy a bottle of pop, but Switzerland uses francs as currency, not Euros, so she had to find an ATM before she could buy it. She ended up getting the francs but not having time to get the pop before we left, so she had to wait until we got to Lucerne.
When we got to Lucerne, Mom used the francs to buy a bottle of pop and to get change for lockers so we wouldn't have to drag our suitcases with us through town. Then we went ...

First thing the next morning we booked ourselves two slots in the 10:15 a.m. paragliding time slot. Weee! Happy Birthday, Mike! We got picked up by a group of laid back German speaking Swiss guys whose full time jobs were paragliding in the summer and skiing in the winter. Seemed like a rough life… Of course like most tour guides of the sort, one must be a fairly likeable personality to make their nervous ...
hallo, suzie speaking, sarah is happily collecting another american. new york this time nevada, ohio, california, arizona... multiple canadians on our travels as well, they seem to have a pervading attitude that they are the upperclass british watch sarah and i go, the more they point out our accents the more subconciously pompous we get.. that is of course uintil we get bored and lapse into our oh so elegant notfolk accents. hey ...
Zurich, Switzerland eskimosarah... that they wanted us to leave when they played Hey Mama over and over and over, even after we complained they kept on playing it. Once we had all had enough of the Hey Mama torture we went back via the secret slide - I sped down it again but for some reason when it was about 1am and dark I had nothing to hide in the facial expression department - isn't that just the way! Up early to move on back into France ... Avignon here we come!
Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland kins... I have to admit, the place was irresistible! Once getting off the train, we made our way to the hostel - I make it sound easy don't I, but the weight of a backpack drags you down and my god, even a short walk feels strenuous! - Anyways, we made it there, and found to our delight that yes, I had booked the correct dates, just not the correct month! The foyer of the Hostel was packed and I was thinking we were going to be sleeping on the streets ...
Interlaken, Switzerland flipismeHi Everyone and dont I feel special so many of you are logging in to read my updates, or it could just be my mum making me feel popular!!!! Well since we spoke last time I have been pretty ill with a virus along with everyone else that I work with, so that was pretty rubbish. It didnt help that I had to do lots of driving, but I am all good now. Interlaken, Switzerland sheffster... Reverend Lovejoy, Mayor Quimby, Chief Wiggum) are far from perfect. This can get into a much larger in depth discussion. Personally, I feel there are at least six Tiers, probably more, to fully explore and define the brilliance of The Simpsons, but that's a whole 'nother book. Funny thing: May, Ty, and I are walking down the street. Ty has just packed his pipe with weed and hash. We're only a moment away from lighting up. Seemingly out of nowhere, Emily and Kim run into us ...
