Today we ticked off several more Cols on the Route. The highlight though has to have been the decision to deviate from the RdGA. We travelled up over the Col le Bonette. What a fantastic ride. ... architecture, a very Swiss style. Everyone was so helpful and nice, I really liked the small town feel of everyone knowing everyone else. I can't imagine anyone being sad while living up there, it was just so perfect! I am already planning a way to get back up there, I fell in love with everything about the Alps. If you haven't been, I strongly recommend making it one of the top places to visit!

This second time down the green slope I didn't fall. Not even once! We even did a little bit of a blue hill to get back to the base area. At this point, I felt like I was holding Katy from doing the harder routes so since I had kinda figured out how to go forward and was a little more confident I decided to try an entire blue route.

... br> At the end of the afternoon, when we arrived back at the hotel I was totally exhausted, every movement costed me more energy than usual. apparently I have some problems with the thin air here at 2300 meter above Sea level.
Now we're going out for a beer (or two). if i don't break both of my arms, neck or other important bones in my body one of these days, I'll update soon

After soaking in all the fresh air and clean water and powder skiing we could in 10 days, (it was so nice to see the kids detached from electronic devices!), we headed home to Lyon and to our new flat, leaving the snow and a little Christmas magic behind us.
