We packed up and headed out on a shorter drive this morning - this time the end destination is the Adriatic coast, but first Laura found a castle that hits all the right notes in the guidebook so we are going to stop there on the way. Set off for a day tour by Roundabout tours at 9am in the morning. There were 8 of us in the group. An elderly American/German couple, a trio of Singaporean students plus the 3 of us in my family. The 3 students had just completed their 8 months final term study in Glasgow University, and was touring Europe for a month before returning to Glasgow U for their graduation. They were poly graduates from Singapore and ...

    Leaving Venice

... profusely, as were we. They could have shed a few pounds of water weight every afternoon. While pleasant enough, they were not the "have a nice day crowd." The ship is absolutely germaphobic because they had some cases of the bad virus during the previous cruise. No self-serve food. No handshakes. No cheek kisses. Nothing with any physical contact among crew members and between crew and guests. They ...
