Also, they have run out of money, totally. But with so much buried beneath the city, even a heavy rain shower ...
... is the James Bond monastery. Breathtaking again. On to the last visit, St. Stephens monastery, which is a nunnery. As we were leaving there was a small rock slide down the cliff next to stairs we were on. We all jumped. Scared us. Such a beautiful sunny day. Our pictures should be great. There are only 6 monasteries remaining. If I go to Meteorea again, I'm spending a longer time and visiting more places. It takes so darn long to get there. Long 5 hour bus ride back ...
... rain of the day made it an entirely new place to visit. Downspouts were found and created in roofs and beautiful urban waterfalls framed the walkways. The cats had disappeared into their holes, but that was okay. The rain and fog made everything seem even more ancient and mysterious, almost as if it were just your imagination. The cave we had seen was just above us now. I myself was eager to find a way in, but another black fence seemed to block my path. My teacher had no issue ...
... up and asked us if we needed help (we must have looked very lost and a fair but worn out at this stage). We thanked him for his kindness and stated that we had found what we we after - food. We made our way other to the restaurant and the waiter feted us personally. He took us over to the food and showed us what was there (explaining everything in English) and let us choose what we desired. These guys were just fantastic. I take everything back ...
... walked over to the museum of the ancient agora in the rebuilt temple. Back in 2011 i went through this museum taking a picture of everything – because i could. This time i took a picture of the interesting things. Then i left the area, looked around the agora a bit more and then i walked back up to mars hill and then down through the plaka.
I explored the plaka a bit, having a frape and a snack. I had a look at some of the shops ...
