We head over to Gate 5 at 2pm, as instructed, only to find that this flight is now going to Prague. Huh? Oh, a gate change, of course. And we are supposed to be waiting for one of the airport staff to take Louise and her chair onto the plane. Do we wait or do we go - that is the question?
Arrived back in Athens today and explored the city for the afternoon. We went for a driving tour through the city and saw the famous sites like the original Olympic stadium, the acropolis and the pantheon. Really beautiful buildings. Dee and I then got a private tour guide through the main tourist / market area of placka. He didn't speak any English but insisted on showing us around. I had been a little afraid the whole time that Alex would also be impacted by the strike on the metro. With it not running all afternoon it might not be timely once it did run again.
