Big day today... It was Lyn's last day at school -Relatively busy... I had an infusion & lots to do at home. Got back at around 5:00pm and proceeded to finish off the list. Gail arrived at 5:30pm and we drove out of Shepp to Melbourne. We have booked into the motel on Mickleham road. Very nice tea together in their restaurant. One of the best (duck) risottos that I have ever had... Spare a thought for us tomorrow - we have booked a wake up call at 3:30am!!!! Can you believe that? ...
Had a bit of a strange week, not been getting many hours from work so been job hunting on my days off! -Booked flights to Tasmania this week for a walking holiday with all the girls from the 18th-22nd May! Very exciting. Tasmania is only an hours flight from Melbourne, and the flights were very cheap! ...
I went back to Melbourne for another fun weekend. The Australia Grand Prix was going on that weekend. I watched the qualifying round on Saturday. Those F1 cars are pretty neat. They also had a couple of other racing events going on that day.
On a side note, they are really serious about their coffee here in Australia, and in Melbourne especially. Everywhere has an espresso machine, and there is much discussion about different flavors and origins of coffee beans.
