We headed off today to see the sights of the big smoke!
We wandered the lanes and arcades of Melbourne and picked up a few treats along the way.
We had morning tea of baclava in Greek town, lunch of BBQ pork and duck in China town, with the kids mastering chop sticks and drinking jasmine tea. We loved how well laid out and easy it was to get around the city and the vibe.

Wonderful Debbie, a volunteer, and her fellow volunteers, had spread out our quiches along with all the fantastic cakes on long benches, it looked like a banquet! Andy and Mandy started the BBQ around 11.30 and the ...
... the National Gallery of Victoria. The gallery wasn't as big as I presumed it would be looking at it from the outside so it didn't take long to explore its various exhibitions.
By then, due to heavy clouds and the fact that it was winter, it was beginning to get dark outside and we had planned to visit the Eureka Tower - a 300 meter sky scraper - to see the city descend into darkness and watch the lights come on. We didn't have to wait long to get to the top, ...
