... did go up to try and see anything, the cloud is always so thick up there. We have found, since arriving, people don't normally visit this time of year. So we have altered our plans, when I researched I knew it would be raining season, as it was in Thailand, but didn't expect this much rain. Normally in these countries it's very predictable and will rain 3 hours a day, not here! It can be at any time for any amount of time. So the entire country has raining season at different times ...

The vendors never stopped selling, and the police never arrested anyone. Heidi and Kimber took to creating the backstories of the people we saw. ... but like I said, we were in the center of all the tourists sites so it is a popular place for Americans to come and vacation. In addition, they mentioned that this was there peak season so they have a lot of people coming to vacation at this time. ... I am awestruck by the culture and beauty. I was expecting it to be trashy and dirty, but the environment is truly amazing. The people are super friendly and loving. It is much different than it is back in the States... Everything here is relaxed, easy-going, and care free. Nothing is rushed, much different than it is at home! Patience is definitely a priority here. I already love so many of the locals and hope to visit again in the future! :) ~Kimmy.... or Kimma ...

69-70: A pretty awful day! (minus the beginning)

... first snorkel trip was actually pretty awesome, well for me anyway. The person I was with didn't want to free dive so didn't see as much as me (6 sharks, a turtle and TWO spotted eagle rays). I still found some sharks she could see though and one of the spotted eagle rays stayed shallow for ages so we just swam around with it for 5 or more minutes while it fed. Kind of awesome. The second trip was ****. The red tide had come in and as we tried to get into the bay ...
