... We then made our way back to Monza train station and after saying goodbye to Anita and Michel, we caught the train for 2.5hrs to Tirano. Tirano is 10mins away from Brusio which is where my Great Uncle Roberto and Great Aunty Ilaria live- we stayed with them for 3 nights. Arianna their daughter (mum's cousin), picked us up- she's so sweet, apparently she'd come an hour early because she was so excited! I was super excited to see her ...

We then walked through the old town which had a football field with rocks for spectators to sit on. For lunch we had pizzoccheri. ... a sight that would be.. Next, the horse carriage ride thru the village and then the forest... It started to snow...just a few flakes .. But I can say it snowed on Christmas Day... My dream come true !! At the top, we got off the carriage for a hot chocolate and cake at the inn, then boarded again and enjoyed the carriage ride down the mountain again... All up, we were away for almost 3 hrs. Merry Christmas by the way !!! Will be hard to top next year ...

... fun anyway. Rang the kids for Xmas morning back home...was good to talk to family on Xmas...missed seeing Blair & Isabella opening their presents. Mark Like most towns we have visited, I liked Lucerne. One thing Mark did forget to mention is that we also visited the lion monument... Carved into rock face..impressive. I really enjoy just walking around the older parts of the towns.. all the old buildings, some with paintings on the outer walls.. Took ...

... in the town again we looked for a place for dinner. All very expensive in St Moritz so we found a pub which was reasonable and had a nice dinner before walking home admiring the pretty street lights. Heading for Zermatt tomorrow with another scenic train ride - bit hard to take really. Hope it is not too hot in Perth!! Just checked -4 here at the moment. Funny thing is it is cold but not ...
