... Centre and also got Sarah in a Cable Car up the mountain, she took a bit of time to get on it but did so although she didn't take in many of the views up or down....

There aren't many outstanding features around the town but as said before the views make up for this, maybe we didn't find everything, its a lovely place and would recommend a visit..

Wednesday 28 May Schloss This morning we set to walk up the Schloss, the fortified area overlooking the town. It was raining so we popped into a church to have a little look around. A service was starting so we sat down and partook. A great organ and a singer led some of the hymns. The first town of any size was Maribor, and we wandered about in the suburbs failing to find either the town centre or a hotel. Graz
The town has a central old quarter
which is remarkably preserved. The Holy Roman Emperor had a
residence here at one stage so the cathedral and many palaces of the
officials are suitable magnificent. This area, protected by the
overlooking schloss, survive the 2nd ww bombing but large
swathes of the surrounding residential area were destroyed.
