... When i decided to halt at Gujarat, Surat was the place as I could also meet a friend of mine. So from Mumbai, I reached Surat at 1:30pm. My friend picked me up from the station and I went with him to his house. There I met some nice people and had a good time.

While in Surat, I had to see the textile industry that they had. I was aware that they are the biggest exporters of sarees in India and was directed to get sarees. So with my friend I went to a place where there ...

... running on a tight budget and a tighter schedule, we had to make our journey cheap and spend less time travelling. So we got in a 20 hour long train journey that takes us through all the hotter cities like Ahmedabad, Jaipur and finally reaches New Delhi. Thanks to the local ticketing agent we managed to get an AC train ticket (of course after paying a hefty commission). The morning tea ...

... and Bollywood style dances. The entertainment went on into the early hours of the morning and was good fun. Day 3 was the wedding day. After a morning of preparations and beautifying for the woman (I had my hair, makeup and henna done!) we left the village in the afternoon to head to the wedding hall. After visiting the temple to offer gifts to the gods, the women danced in the street and then we headed off, I was fortunate to ...
