    ... 1008 ladoos (round indian sweets) into a fire! I felt like I was at an American Indian sweat camp. Of course the day we leave it rains and the weather is actually pleasant.     ... in Aksum. In return for these goods, we received many of the fine goods that local merchants wished to export from inland India. Among these goods were many elegant textiles, as well as local medicinal and aromatic herbs.

    We did not spend very long in this town because much greater wealth awaited us further south, so there is not much else to say.

    My visit to Surat has nothing much to talk about apart from the fact that I was solely there to visit a friend of mine. Originally, I intended to go directly to Ajmer from Mumbai, but then I felt I had to see Udaipur on the way. So to reach Udaipur, I knew I had to pass through Gujarat.     Spent a very short time in Vanesa, which is where Hirals dad is from. Since they are building a new house there...we were sent to do some interior decorating. This task actually made us excited to build our own home...but I'm not sure exactly when that's going to happen.     ... rural setting with tick a long people just getting by. This is much more my thing than 5* silliness where people do everything for you. If you travel the world and stay in these sort of places you learn nothing about the locals but I guess your toilet roll gets folded nicely into a point. It's a bloody toilet roll!!!!!
