It was strange because it was not like other dorms; there were three beds and one mattress on the floor, a lot of boxes and shelves full of stuff and two little boys were watching tv on the floor. ... the locals. At 12:15 we headed to the angkot and ran into the street to catch it. When knew it was a holiday - Good Friday - but we were thinking that since it wasn't a muslim holiday that the locals wouldn't really celebrate it. WRONG. They celebrate every holiday that is acknowledged by the 6 religions accepted here, plus national holidays of course. That creates about 2 months of holidays in one year. haha. Life (27 hours) has been very boring, so maybe I will be able toad more in Jakarta
... just traffic and neon lit buildings. Almost two hours it takes to inch along the multi-laned freeway that cuts through the city until at last we take an exit and crawl along smaller suburban roads, seeing the occasional food barrow and many more motorbikes.

I flew Garuda Airlines to Jakarta. Although I had not heard great things, it was very nice. Tv screens for each seat and choice of movies, videos, games, etc. and a full meal! Better than Air Asia!
