      ... It serves a traditional famous Schlosswirtschaft Schattenburg it's a Foot long Weiner Schnitzel. Served with a pickled salad or fries. Chase was up for the challenge being the meat eater he is and as you can see didn't quite get there but gave it an impressive go. It was a great setting in traditional surrounds.       ... a dash GPS which is fantastic as earlier we got told we would have to hire one for $200 for 7 days. Cheaper to buy a whole unit. No cost and in English. It works great. Our host had recommended some markets in Einsiedeln where there is an old abbey. The abbey was big and very ornate, extravagant. They don't like you taking photo in most churches but I was able to get some with my ipad on my lap. The markets were markets and we wandered ...

      ... 16 acre site. This is a museum that everyone who visits Switzerland should see. It is history at it's best. We spent over two hours here and did not see it all. Too bad. To do it justice you would need at least 5 hours.
      Tomorrow we head north to meet with my friend Katharina in Schmerikon. We are going to a festival together with her Dad, Walter. More history.... more fun!
      Don't know when I will be on line again... next time will probably be from Germany.

      Well after jealously seeing Yumi off on her trip east-bound to Cappadocia, I basically tried to sleep (it didn't work) and then took a red-eye flight to Basel. The flight was from the smaller airport through easyjet, which means not near anything. It also meant getting a prepaid ride with 3 other hostelers around the area to get to the airport.       ... bars and cafes that line the lakeside were packed with young trendy types (me and Alf joined them and sent Rob to McDonalds!!). There's some lovely shops here - could quite easily have blown the budget (what's left of it!).
