    ... a dash GPS which is fantastic as earlier we got told we would have to hire one for $200 for 7 days. Cheaper to buy a whole unit. No cost and in English. It works great. Our host had recommended some markets in Einsiedeln where there is an old abbey. The abbey was big and very ornate, extravagant.     ... get to unless you take a major road. That sounds silly when you realize that we are up a twisty country road that even the buses have trouble negotiating.... That being said, if you are arriving from the west you have to get within 5km of Isenthal then cross the lake by ferry and then drive another 20km around to get to the windy road that takes you up to town.     ... Had to meet the owner of the apartment we rented in Isenthal, Switzerland. No time to replenish our groceries we were on a mission.
    Set the GPS for the village and off we went.
    Now you have to understand that in Switzerland are required to buy a pass to go on their major highways. Waste of time for us because a scenic tour was what we were after.
    Another note to self: When you set a GPS co-ordinate for a village be very carefull. PG ...

    ... are heading to Bavaria in southern Germany for around a week and then it's back into France, possibly via Belgium. Daisy returns home (well, back to the UK) on 6 April - her 20th birthday! We got a cheap ferry with Speed Ferries for just 17 plus 15 for Alfie. From Dover we plan to travel along the south coast stopping off at Brighton first, then on to north Cornwall and North Wales.
