    ... I was like, "Of course!" and they said they were looking forward to it. Anyway the party ended and my teacher came up to me and gave me 3500yen (20) back because it was too expensive for me. I mean it is, but I don't mind paying it as a one off. Our salary is pathetic and the teachers get about 2500 bonus so it was nice to only pay half :) I didn't go to the 2nd party as that was 4000yen (25) and just alcohol so i went home and played Football Manager into the night ...

    ... parents wouldn't be staying for lunch but 5 sandwiches still appeared and I couldn't convince them that only Shane was staying. This is one of those awkward cultural moments that I won't miss since nothing I said was going to prevent me from having to end up taking all of the sandwiches in the end.     Sunday was the little church's Christmas party. I sang Oh Holy Night, since I really like that song this time of year and figured no one else would be singing it. The Mexican missionary, Beto, played the soprano saxophone after me. We like to joke that he is Beto G, minus the curls.
