... nice. Anyway we promptly left for his wife's parents house to perform the rice pounding. Now this house. It's like a house from a horror film. A house in the middle of nowhere on an abandoned farm. A broken, dark and shady windmill in the background and not a person in sight. Was pretty cool. ... eye out). It was chaos at some points but everyone looked like they were having a good time and there weren't too many tears.
Tuesday I had a tutoring session with Yuko. The only thing I realized I don't like about meeting with her is that even though we sit in the non-smoking section of Mister Donut, I still smell like smoke when we come out. Gross. Yuko said she was going to ask me a lot of questions during our hour together, which I assume is because it's what ...

... outside.....we wrapped ourselves up and followed the road sigs to a park that indicated the zoo was on the other side..... unfortunately none of the paths in the park headed there, as we soon discovered!! 45min wandering about a poorly signed park with a "forest" contained within it until we found a small car park and an attendant (i know, a parking attendant in a wooded park) who directed us up the road to our destination. I should add at this point that it was still raining ...
