We fly out on Wednesday morning to Los Angeles and begin our final leg of the trip. This is our last few days as a five as Emily`s boyfriend Dave is flying out to meet us in LA and then James, Fianait and myself part ways with Emily and Sophie to start our journey East across the US and Canada. New Year's Day we set out for La Paz. The wind was on the nose, so we mostly motor sailed, except for the 2 hours when we actually tried sailing. This had the effect of reducing our actual speed toward our destination to 2.5 knots and of making Cheryl immediately and violently seasick, so we reverted back to motor sailing.
