    ... despite the frustration we felt before, we were happy we hung around.

    After getting some good photos we moved around a bit for a few different angles but nothing really compared to our first spot. The last car went around at about 4:30 which gave us enough time to go to the toilet before getting back on the bus.     ... diverted them into the target field, essential I was stationary object, or traffic diversion method, but it was good fun for a few hours. I wouldn’t want to do it all the time. I had applied to volunteer there for a month living and eating for free, but working a few hours a day, but with it being low season they needed the tourism rather than another mouth to fed, probably just as well.     ... work so I consoled myself the only way I know how......having a few drinks, playing pool, meeting some lovely people, listening to amazing live music....generally just being a social butterfly!! :)

    As you can imagine, Riqui has now morphed into my tour guide, which has been amazing! I have to say I think he prefers this role to the translator/dictionary......I have quickly realized that I have become one of those annoying 'why?' children ...

    I even went to an AFS training one evening. Two AFS volunteers were visiting from Germany to do some training with the Cordoba chapter. It is amazing, that even though I haven't been working as a volunteer with AFS for many years, I still felt I could contribute and many of the problems are still the same. I was really impressed with the young people who are running the chapter here and ...

    ... some Telefónica colleagues (JB [GB], Ruben [ESP] and Romina [ARG]) were due in BsAs in a week or so. So I thought I'd head to Salta beforehand and meet them in time in BsAs - in the meantime taking in some countryside in the north.
