    ... are riders comfortable with, do participants want some cultural aspects to the tour or is it all about the riding: Please send me your comments and/or suggestions. I should add further that a waiver will need to be signed. (Those of us in "Clipped In" will be familiar with this requirement.)

    It was a drizzly day when I got up this morning so I waited for the drizzle to ease up and went for a short ride. I stopped at the site of Japan's oldest university, the Ashikaga School, which was founded in the 1400's. I toured the grounds for about 30 minutes before continuing on my way. I barely got out of the city into the countryside when the drizzle started up again so I decided to turn back.

    ... you could see mountains and the valley beyond and even the Sea of Japan off into the distance.

    After asking another photographer to take a photo of me, I started my descent. At one point, I stopped by the side of the road where a hose was shooting out water. There were signs in Japanese and a ladle and a glass beside the hose so I assumed this was potable, natural spring water. I stopped and had a couple of good sips and it tasted fine.

    Oh well, there's always next time!

    With many many photos taken and our fill with the magnificent wisteria fragrance we travel back to Tokyo on the Express Shrinkensen train.. travel time cut in half but cost doubled!

    Final verdict? ... A must do day out for all that visit Tokyo in Fuji Season!
