... cleared of snow earlier than usual due to the Giro d'Italia passing this way a couple of days ago.

We parted company with Jane and Chris in Bormio (at the base of the Stelvio but on the other side from Trafoi) and headed to Davos through the Gallo and the Fluela Passes.
