... the local bus up to Ravello. It felt like the driver was going alarmingly fast on the narrow, winding roads with hairpin turns... At times, not enough space for two vehicles...but we arrived safe and sound. We walked through the main square, with the requisite church, then followed a meandering path up to Villa Cimbrone. Villa Cimbrone is actually a luxury hotel, with beautiful gardens and an amazing view of the sea. We spent some time walking through the gardens.... ...

Got up this morning and found my breakfast waiting for me. Hello chocolate croissant, rolls, jam! Cappuccino too! Can you tell I get excited when breakfast is included in my stay? ... to make sure we didn't lose him in the crowds of people. Sitting at the very top of the island is Anacapri (literally "above Capri") and there's pretty much only one way to get there... chair-lift. These tiny seats travel straight up hill for around 15 minutes, there's nothing keeping you in except a single metal bar resting across your lap (it's not locked in place or anything), and as frightening as it sounds in principle, actually it's quite a relaxing way to get up to ...

... sun goes behind the high cliff. The other couple leaves, so we move over to where the sun remains on the beach. Alas, the sun is soon gone again, time to move on. Looks like it has 4-5 cabanas for rent, a bathroom, and a small sand soccer field all built on a terrace. Must be a party place in season. We are closet Atrani, so we go there, and the sun is still reaching it's beach, so we sit a ...
