... and souvenirs and headed off in our mercedes to Sorrento. There was some pretty scenery but one seven kilometre long tunnel through the mountains. We arrived at our hotel which was well located but not as wonderful as we would had liked. We went for a walk and what a surprise, Sorrento is huge and just a mass of shops. We found the laundromat, supermarket, lift to the beach and the panoramic view point. There is actually very little "beach" at Sorrento though the water ...

We were feeling far too daggy to be in the presence of the ever stylish Italians and our lovely friend helped us to amend that situation with unique jeans, coats and shirts. ... police. There was a lovely young woman there, an interpreter, who does work there and the hospital. As Sam spoke Italian we did not really need her, but she was very sweet. We met an American couple, he had his wallet stolen on Monday, with all his cards and license etc, but they only had €400 stolen before they got all the cards cancelled.

We decided to stay as we are here and just about everything is paid for too. The weather is not great, clouds and raining on ...

... sun goes behind the high cliff. The other couple leaves, so we move over to where the sun remains on the beach. Alas, the sun is soon gone again, time to move on. Looks like it has 4-5 cabanas for rent, a bathroom, and a small sand soccer field all built on a terrace. Must be a party place in season. We are closet Atrani, so we go there, and the sun is still reaching it's beach, so we sit a ...
