... there we left for Spain! We have spend about one whole day in Spain so far! The prices are so much cheaper here, and so we are enjoying eating food! We found a lovely hostel in a small town a bit away from Santander, and spent today exploring it. There are some cool beaches and today we found an abandoned granary complex or something. That's my best guess for what it is. It is a HUGE chunk of land with quite a few buildings A lot of them had cool ...

... doors of the ferry got stuck so nobody could get off. In the end, free drinks were issued, the boat was turned round and, 3 hours later, the lorries were reversed off and we were able to get on our way.
We drove 80 km and arrived at our campsite (Monte Royal), having gone over a mountainous area with snow poles already in situ at the side of the road, at 10.15pm but, being Spain, were able to order a simple meal at the bar. It was a chilly evening at this altitude.

We planned a short day as Ryan was recovering but still a bit queasy. The city of Comillas was literally up all night. Same scenario as last night, just a little less fireworks. The downstairs restaurant area was totally trashed. So again, no sleep. As we walked out of town drinking our coffee's we felt strangely out of place as ...

    Ryan was up puking all...night...long.

He probably got up about every hour, it was horrible. In addition to this, they had fireworks going on and off all night, music, and drunk people downstairs throwing tables and chairs around. So obviously none of us really slept, when the alarm went off I went downstairs to mom and Abby's room to tell them we have to take the day off because Ryan was so sick. They certainly didn't argue ...

... was what we called the fairy-tale castle.

We made some bedside sandwiches in our room, and anticipated taking the train tomorrow as no one is really feeling that great. Ryan is puking, and mom's feet are still hurting pretty badly. Oh and trying to sleep to the sounds of a nightclub and fireworks isn't exactly restorative. We will see how we feel in the morning
