After this we then went to Dad’s house which Craig and I remembered better. It is more ruined but in much better condition than Mum’s place. It hasn’t sold and not many people live there now. ... to be the only ones able to stand up to the Roman Empire, and did so for about 50 years before finally being overtaken. It remains their greatest accomplishment - the Sanniti are the people who stood up to the Romans. Their motto is "Rudii e Fieri" - stubborn and proud to be.

As we are getting ready to move on in our day of visiting, and chatting with the museum curator, she suddenly calls over a couple of gentlemen who ...

... in place, making the park ugly-looking. We meander back through the higher end of town, annoying angry barking dogs, taking pictures of napping cats and stealing their souls. We continue back into the main piazza and onto Cafe Monarca, our go-to place for gelato in Boiano. I get chocolate and pistachio, Mario gets amarena, jam made with a local variety of sour cherry. It's sooooo yummy!

After coffee, it's off to the market for sandwich ...
