... used to stay from time to time. Walked the streets and to the Staffelsee and back to Hotel, it is well under 10 degrees during the day now. Went to dinner which was fabulous and an older gentleman spoke to us, he saw I was wearing a traditional vest and assumed I was a local. Great chat, great food, great to be here. We will stay in Germany for a week or so, where not sure, then to Strasbourg France for the Christmas markets. See you again in a while, getting closer to home time ...

She said if I helped her, we could have pasta with meatballs and fresh tomato salad so I donned the apron she made me put on and did as I was told! She's still able to boss me around, even at almost 88 years old! The meal was amazing and the tomatoes were as sweet as ...

... that was closed the other night, which Enzo, Adriana, and Federico all say is the best gelateria in Calabria. They weren't lying. The pistachio gelato was so good it actually made me sad--because I don't think I will ever be able to enjoy pistachio ice cream ever again, it will always be a let down compared to this. I am definitely going to try to go there again before I leave.
