... buildings were identied. The tour guide knew his town history (or a quick plausible story) an westrted to really understand the town of close to 200000 people. We did the obligatory stop at the best silver jewellery shop in the state, but failed to find just the right piece.
The town is riddled underneath with gold and silver mines that go back to the 1500s. Only a dozen still operate, and are quite deep. One of our tour stops was to an old private mine that was now a museum ...
