... people’s way of life will be a welcome next step for us.

About 3 hours or so till we arrive in Phnom Phen for lunch and to grab a clean shower, so bye for now, lots of love to you all at home. Adam ad Becs, we hope that you got home safe and going back to work has not been too tough for you, thanks again for coming all this way and spending your time with us, it was a real treat. ... and let them rest at peace. The place is so eery and hard to believe all these awful things happened only 40 years ago. Sign posts telling us to beware of where we are stepping because the fragments of bones everywhere. When you look down and watch where your stepping you can see bone and teeth showing through the dirt, obviously not everywhere had been dug up and rain will wash dirt away and people walking over it everyday will make them show through ...

... and tarantulas. Ok, we decide not to try. Not a *************. Apparently the tarantulas are gooey inside......yeah well I will never know.
We leave now and walk through the fruit and veg section, Davy stops and buys us some jackfruit. It is so sweet.
We look at things the size of cherry tomatoes but they look like apples.
We see cherries and I think of my friend Judy :) she would fight me for them lol.

After a long and dusty tuk tuk ride we came to Cheung Ek, The Killing Fields. The 17,000 men, women and children who were tortured at S-21 were brought to this extermination camp and mainly bludgeoned to death, to save bullets, before being thrown, often still alive into the huge pits. Now it feels an immensely peaceful and serene place, the pits have shifted and changed ...
