... was 2013 and it looked like it went into the 2nd story of the buildings. The guide said it is all a part of living on the island of Passau. The city also continues on either side's of both rivers. We saw the Town Hall where the majority of their affairs are handled. It is from the 14th century and has been replastered after each flood. Very nice walking tour. ...

We actually never made it to Passau, Germany. The ship stopped in Aschach, Austria for us to get on the bus for our trip to Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic. The ship then continued on to Passau where we were taken after our tour. The water levels in the Danube are so low that the Captain was concerned that we might get stuck in Passau, so he went through the lock and docked further upstream. We won't miss anything they tell us but will need to do an extra pack and unpack. An inconvenience but we are told that it is rather seamless.

Enjoy the pics and tomorrow we go to Regensberg by bus.

... church, we spent the afternoon walking the city streets. It was cold and slightly wet, so we were happy to board the ship this afternoon. A hot chocolate was in order. After I finish this entry, a nap is next. I hope you all like the pics. Sorry, I'm not writing much. Its amazing how tired one can get walking around for just a few hours.

    Hope all is well.

    Day 5-The big swap day

A travel blog entry by mrandonian on Oct 06, 2015

... swap ships and continue our respective journeys.

Last night, we packed our suitcases in anticipation of the transfer. The effort was handled incredibly efficiently by Viking. While we were on the bus tour to Regensburg, our luggage was removed from the Tor and delivered to the identical stateroom on the Var. Our cruise director, Daniel, and Concierge, Stan, transferred with us. The only indication that we were on ...
