... br> Åsa prepared salmon and rice for dinner, which everyone absolutely loved. We were all hoping for the skies to clear a bit more, hopefully seeing the northern lights. It didn't look promising, but an hour or so later it finally happened! A green streak of light danced across the sky and we all rushed towards the frozen lake with cameras and tripods.

We had lots of fun under the lights and stars and went to bed much later than we had intended. All worth it!

At first I thought no ways can this be for long but a quick look at the map and sure enough it was all the way to the town of Kongas which was still 50 miles away!!

Anya clinging on, but riding an unfamiliar machine weighing twice as much as my motorbike, for the first time, in the dark, in 6 foot deep snow and across frozen lakes at up to 80km hour could only mean one thing....a slight accident. After taking a bend a bit too wide, we soon found ourselves up to our waist in snow and the mobile at a 45 degree angle and totally stuck. It took Per about 15 mins to get back to us, the speed he was going he'd probably crossed the border into ...

... Unfortunately the flight arrived in Stockholm 30 minutes before my flight to London - at least I did not have to pick up my bag as it was booked straight through to London. Of course my flight to London was in another terminal although thankfully it only took 10 minutes to reach security in the other terminal as I did rush quite a bit. Unsurprisingly there was a queue at security so it took another ...

    Fun in the snow

... a clear sky so I call for ACTION and we dress up and rush outside to catch about an hour of the lights. It was still half cloudy but we certainly saw some good activity, before the clouds came back again. The next day we went on a snowmobile tour to Ice Hotel. Luckily, there were only two of us on this tour (27 the day before and 20 the day after). We were able to drive one snowmobile each in a grogerous warm day. We drove through a fairy tale like forest, saw ...
