After a couple of bus rides we arrived to the wonderful quiet town of Manantiales where we visited Soli and Anita, old friends of Lane from Aspen! ... line at immigration, passing through unimpeded, and finally find spare window seats on the starboard side. This has been shunned because it is on the sunny side, but we are not worried, particularly as the ferry has to make a big change in direction to get on course for BA.

We’ve had no problems with our three days in Uruguay, and it’s been pleasant enough, but nothing special.
