Wonderful stay in a wonderful area

A travel blog entry by raggioluce on Jul 31, 2014

We spent one week in this cosy and special hotel. We planned every evening with the owner of the hotel where to hike the day after. And every time it was a special experience. We saw a lot of mountain lakes, deers, flowers and the owner one time came with us explaining all about the area: history, geography and bothanic. There are a lot of things to do: clibining, rafting, hiking, MTB tours and mcuh more. ...

... local restaurant Riolet where we have eaten three times during our week here. It has been great that such good food is right on our doorstep. The weather could have been better but we have really enjoyed our week here in Lake Garda. The scenery is breathtaking and except for the number of German tourists, the towns, churches, food and culture have been wonderful to visit and experience. Thank you Lake Garda and Villa Borgo (Patio) for the great ...

We put two tired little boys to bed and hit the sack ourselves, another great ...

... traffic and we went bumper to bumper for the 20kms or so that we needed to travel. We drove on past Gargnano and stopped instead in Maderno for lunch. Unfortunately the lovely little trattoria that we had our eye on said it was too late for lunch so we ended up at a more touristy place but it was good all the same. The boys and Geoff had pasta and I had pizza which was all good. For dinner we headed into Salo where there was supposed to be live music and a bit of a festival along ...

    Boat trip to Bardolino...

... at Bardolino we of course found a gelataria and the boys got their icecream for the day and then we started to wander around the small old town. We browsed through the shops and the boys had a play in a park before we visited the church. Hamish went to pray for a while and we lit candles for all the family. By then it was time to find a lunch venue. We wandered slightly off the beaten track and hit the jackpot with a little pizzeria along one of the back streets. James had ...
